You got your Concealed Carry License. Now which handgun to buy?
Easy question to ask, TOUGH question to get a good answer to. The guy behind the counter at your local gun store might be of help... OR he might be selling you his most profitable item or old inventory that needs clearing out. And if it's not in his gun case, it's probably "not a good choice" for you.
If you ask your friends that carry you'll probably get as many different answers as you have friends. And many will be models of Glocks, a great pistol manufacturer for sure, but not the right choice for many folks who pick and recommend them.
I might as well tell you now that most folks pick the WRONG handgun first time out because they didn't ask and answer the right questions. This leads to rather costly mistakes because good guns are NOT cheap, and cheap guns are not what you want to bet your life on. Do you buy bargain life insurance?
Your best bet is to invest some time to educate yourself and find a knowledgeable instructor with your well being foremost in his mind that can show you, hands on, a wide variety of handguns and carry methods so you can make an informed decision and avoid a $500-$1,000 mistake. Even better if you can get some range time with these handguns so when you get to the gun store counter you know exactly what you need and exactly how it will perform for you.
It's time and money well spent and the knowledge gained will last you a lifetime.
